CT EarthNet is proposed to be a resource that would assist community-based groups involved with environmental issues, education and management with fundamental needs, facilitate the sharing of information, learning and experience, and foster collaboration toward the accomplishment of shared objectives.
CT EarthNet Goals:
- Provide means to engage diverse segments of local communities and facilitate their participation in planning and decision-making about local environmental management.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between community-based environmental groups to mitigate fragmentation, address fundamental barriers and enhance the efficacy of environmental management initiatives.
- Identify and rank environmental issues of importance to community-based groups statewide.
- Assess and track the efficacy of the network.
